My videos don't broadcast. Also, when I try to schedule something for the current date, the app tells me that the date has passed.

Check and make sure the time zone you have set matches the time zone you desire. If the time zone is not set correctly this will definitely stop the media from broadcasting at their set times. Keep in mind that the time zone by default is set to General Mountain Time so you will need to set the time zone the very first time you use this application. If you tried this and you are still having issues, make sure that the “Start Broadcast” button has been pressed and that the station is broadcasting.
